Now H

H has announced that he would like to learn more about computers, would like his own and would like to build it with T's supervision.

So we have been negotiating the details over the past week. I ordered the parts T has been listing and relisting for days. The delivery will be this Friday.

It will be put downstairs in the toy room along with a TV which will be used as the monitor. The PS3 will be brought down too.

Roll on Friday.

T is off doing something fun/useful to him/interesting in the other room.

We were chatting in the car about a thing called BIOS, which is a component which starts a computer functioning immediately after the power has started to flow. I realised that in 20 years' time such a component will be common knowledge to middle aged mums like me. Knowledge will have moved on so far and fast that something as yet undiscovered will be of a similar mysteriousness/familiarity to someone like me. Hmm. I feel I need to rest and enjoy the silence after such thoughts.
